YOUR PROFILE
As part of the construction of theOxford Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project— a major125 MW/500 MWhproject—Boralex is seeking anElectrical Site Coordinator (Intern).
YOUR CHALLENGE
Reporting to the Site Manager, you willbe responsible formonitoring and overseeing theelectrical work for theOxfordBESSProjectlocatednearWoodstock, Ontario. As part of the project’s construction activities, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Ensure effective project management focused on quality, environmental compliance, people, and workersafety;
- Conduct regular inspections and monitor construction activities related to theBESSproject;
- Maintain communication with contractors to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, environmental regulations, cost control, quality control, and projectschedule;
- Participate in drafting andreviewingreports for all work activities, such as progress reports, procurement tracking, labour, materials,extrawork, property or environmental damages, technical deficiencies,technical requests for information(RFI), and reports related tothequalityprogram;
- Ensure the projectcomplies withlegal and regulatory approvals, the environmental management plan, and all associatedpermits;
- Audit contractor work according to plans andspecifications;
- Activelyparticipatein site meetings.
YOUR SKILLS
- Second- or third‑yearstudentinelectricalengineering orelectricalengineering technology.Studentsstudying civil ormechanicalengineering or technology may be considered depending onpreviousworkexperience;
- Experience and/or interest in construction site management andsupervision;
- Work experience on a construction site, in electrical substation constructionor inBESSconstruction is anasset;
- Ability to report and document information accurately and ontime;
- Quick learner capable of meeting tightdeadlines;
- Excellent communicator with strong teamwork skills; autonomous, rigorous, and result‑oriented;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage prioritieseffectively;
- Excellent knowledge of the MS OfficeSuite;
- Validdriver’slicence.

This internship requires your presence on the construction site. Work schedules and travel frequency will be discussed. This is a temporary internship position with an approximate duration of 16 weeks.

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $24.23 – $25.44. Compensation at Boralex is determined in accordance with internal policies and business requirements, taking into account factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum base salary for the position at the applicable work location and does not guarantee compensation. Total compensation may include eligibility for an annual Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) and other benefits, in accordance with applicable plans and policies.
